Engines 471 and 473 are First and Second Arriving to Manor Road House Fire

January 31st, 2011

At 1140 hours on Monday, Long Green and surrounding stations were dispatched to a report of a house on fire in the area of Langtry Drive and Manor Road. Jacksonville responded with two engines on the initial alarm. Units arrived minutes later to find a two-story dwelling in the 12800 block of Manor Road with heavy fire showing on the Bravo side. Station 47 personnel worked with multiple hose lines to knock down the fire and save the majority of the house. Other companies arrived as a working fire assignment, tanker strike team, and second alarm were requested. Crews were on the scene for approximately three hours.
