Motorcycle vs. Guardrail with Medevac on Jarrettsville Pike (Local Box 47-15)

Around 1600 hours, Jacksonville Volunteers were alerted to reports of an accident involving a motorcycle on Jarrettsville Pike near Sunset Lane. Engine 473 and IV 475 responded on the initial call along with the EMS Supervisor. Units arrived minutes later to find a single motorcycle occupant that had lost control and struck a guardrail. After a brief assessment, the medevac helicopter was requested. This brought Long Greens Engine 382 to handle the landing site in a field nearby. The patient was packaged and transported to the trauma center and all units cleared by 1636 hours.
