Engine and Medic Handle Accident on Papermill Road (Local Box 47-9)

At 1451 hours, Jacksonvilles Engine 473 and IV 475 responded to multiple reports of a car accident in the 2800 block of Papermill Road. Units arrived minutes later to find a single vehicle that had lost control coming around a turn and struck a vehicle parked at a store near the road. The parked vehicle was pushed approximately 25 feet into the woods. Despite significant damage, the single occupant of the other vehicle was outside of the car prior to arrival. They were treated, packaged, and transported to the local trauma center. While E473 was awaiting police to control traffic, a second minor accident occurred in the backup.
