Station 47 Runs Dwelling Fire on Milldale Ct. in Long Green's First Due (Fire Box 38-11)

April 30th, 2009

Just after 1530 hours, units in the first battalion were alerted for a reported dwelling fire on Milldale Court in Long Green's first due area. Jacksonvilles Engine 473 responded on the initial call. Long Greens Engine 382 arrived on location minutes later and reported fire through the roof. A working fire assignment and tanker strike team were requested. Upon arrival, E473 dropped a 5 inch supply line and proceeded to the scene. Between E382 and E473, four hand lines were placed into service. The bulk of the fire was knocked in about 15 minutes. A total 20,000 gallons of water was used. Units remained on scene until about 1900 hrs.
