Jacksonville Responds to Two Alarm Apartment Fire (Fire Box 11-9)

April 22nd, 2006

It seems as though Company 47 personnel are spending more time on major incidents throughout the county at night than they are sleeping. Saturday morning at approximately 0530 hours, units were dispatched for the report of an apartment fire. Less than two minutes later as they arrived on the scene, a working fire assignment was requested. Included on the working fire profile was Air Unit 478. Minutes later, a second alarm was requested by command. The fire was knocked down quickly by crews and was reported under control within thirty minutes. The crew on the air unit filled numerous bottled and cleared shortly afterwards.
