Pickup Truck Hits Car and Pole on Jarrettsville Pike (Rescue Box 47-15)

November 24th, 2004

Early Wednesday afternoon, Jacksonville units were alerted for the report of a car accident with people trapped on Jarrettsville Pike. E473 arrived to find a pickup truck that had lost control on the wet road, rear-ended a car, and then severed a pole that landed on the same car. As the crew investigated, it was found that everyone had gotten out of the cars. The rescue box was cancelled. The engine and IV unit handled three patient refusals. Total staffing on the scene was seven, total standing-by at the station was five.

Jacksonville Units: E471, IV475
