It also responds to assist on special calls such as confined space rescues or to fill SCUBA bottles used by dive teams. It also has a 200 foot long reel of air hose for use in certain situations. The air unit can also be used to fill stand-alone cascade systems in other stations. The on-board cascade has an operating pressure of 6,000 psi and the capability to fill two air bottles at once.

The air unit service was discontinued in Fall 2008 and this unit was turned back into Baltimore County where it became Air Unit 57.
