This unit is a 2001 Ford Excursion. It seats up to five personnel and is primarily used as a first responder vehicle. Like some of our other units, it is equipped with four wheel drive. The unit features a roll-out tray that allows for easy transportation of patients from areas where the medic unit cannot travel. It carries a full range of BLS equipment including oxygen, an AED, and a suction unit. It is also equipped with backboards and spinal immobilization equipment. Additional equipment includes absorbent for controlling hazardous spills and two lock-out kits for gaining access to individuals locked out of their vehicles.
